The veteran slugger delivered the decisive blow in the seventh inning, launching a two-run homer deep into center field to erase a one-run deficit and give Philadelphia a lead it would not surrender. The milestone blast not only marked Schwarber’s league-leading 30th home run of the year but also set a new franchise record as the fastest player in Phillies history to reach that mark, accomplishing the feat in just 84 games.

Schwarber has now recorded six consecutive seasons with at least 30 home runs, extending the longest active streak in Major League Baseball. The home run was also the 217th of his Phillies career, moving him higher on the franchise's all-time home run leaderboard.

Philadelphia received additional offensive contributions from Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, and Brandon Marsh, who each drove in runs during the third inning. The bullpen held firm late, with Jhoan Duran closing out the victory and earning his 21st save of the season.

The win improved the Phillies’ impressive record in one-run games to 18-6, further strengthening their position in the National League standings.

At Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox completed a memorable four-game sweep of the New York Yankees with a thrilling 5-4 extra-inning victory.

Boston appeared in control for most of the night thanks to a dominant performance from veteran starter Sonny Gray, who carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning while recording nine strikeouts and reaching the 2,000-strikeout milestone for his career.

The Yankees battled back in the ninth inning, scoring two runs to force extra innings before taking a brief lead in the tenth. However, Boston refused to quit.

Anthony Seigler started the comeback with an RBI single before Masataka Yoshida and Tsung-Che Cheng helped level the score. Moments later, Jarren Duran delivered the game-winning hit, driving in the decisive run and sending Fenway Park into celebration.

The sweep marked Boston’s first four-game sweep of New York since 2018 and extended the club’s momentum during an encouraging stretch of the season.

Tampa Bay announced that the injury was a strain in his left shoulder and described his status as day-to-day.

The Rays still completed a three-game sweep of Arizona with a 5-1 victory, but Díaz’s health remains a key concern moving forward. The veteran has been one of the American League’s most productive hitters this season, leading the league with a .336 batting average while also contributing 53 RBIs.
